Plastic Surgery in Dubai

ELEMENTAL Day Surgical Center performs plastic and reconstructive surgery in Jumeirah 1, at 113 Jumeirah Street, under DHA licence 5323888. Most operations are carried out in our licensed day-surgery theatre; the patient is admitted, operated on and discharged the same day, with follow-up appointments at the centre.

Every procedure below starts with a consultation. The surgeon examines the anatomy, explains what the operation can and cannot change, sets out the risks and the recovery period, and confirms whether the procedure is appropriate at all. Outcomes differ from patient to patient, and some patients are advised against surgery.

What follows is written to be read before you book anything: who operates, what happens on the day, how long recovery actually takes, what can go wrong, and when the honest answer is that surgery is not the right choice.

What surgery costs

Starting prices. The final quotation is confirmed in writing after the surgical consultation and depends on the extent of the correction, the technique chosen and the theatre time required.

Cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance policies in the UAE. Where a procedure is reconstructive or medically indicated, part of it may be covered depending on your policy — confirm with your provider before the appointment.

Who operates, and who gives the anaesthetic

Both hold an active Dubai Health Authority licence at this facility, and both designations are the ones the DHA registry carries. You can check either licence yourself in the public Sheryan registry.

  • Dr. Tarek Rashed — Specialist Plastic Surgeon, DHA licence 75760605-010. He performs plastic surgery at ELEMENTAL together with the plastic surgery team; the surgeon you meet at the consultation is the surgeon who operates.
  • Dr. Evgenii Degtiarev — Specialist Anaesthesiologist, DHA licence 44500756-001. Anaesthesia is given and monitored by a specialist anaesthetist throughout, not by the operating surgeon.

Where a skin lesion, scar or condition needs assessment before or after surgery, it is looked at by dermatology in the same building.

What happens, start to finish

Before. Consultation with the operating surgeon, then pre-operative blood tests and an anaesthetic assessment. Allow two to three weeks between the consultation and the operation for these to be completed and reviewed. You will be asked to stop certain medications and supplements — bring a full list of what you take.

The day. Arrive fasted, as instructed. The operation is performed under general anaesthesia with a specialist anaesthetist present. You are normally discharged the same day and must be accompanied home — arrange this before the day of surgery, not on it.

Recovery. Swelling and bruising peak in the first 72 hours and settle over two to three weeks. Most people return to desk work in 7–14 days depending on the procedure. Exercise waits four to six weeks. The final result of facial and breast surgery is judged at six to twelve months — anything you see before then is still settling.

Risks you should hear before deciding

Every operation carries risk. For the procedures on this page that means bleeding, infection, delayed wound healing, collections of fluid or blood, altered or reduced sensation, visible scarring, asymmetry, and a reaction to anaesthesia. Some patients need a second, corrective operation. Scars do not disappear; their appearance usually improves over time, but every incision leaves one.

There is also the outcome risk that is harder to put in a list: the result may differ from the one you pictured. The consultation exists partly to make that gap visible before an operation rather than after one. Risks specific to your procedure and your health are explained to you individually, and the consent you sign is the record of that conversation.

When surgery is not the right answer

Patients are declined, and it is not unusual. Weight that is still changing, an untreated or unstable medical condition, an active infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and expectations that no operation can meet are all reasons to postpone or to say no. In some cases a non-surgical route is the better one, and the consultation will point you to it rather than to a theatre date.

Why a day surgical centre

A DHA-licensed day surgical centre runs a full operating theatre with anaesthesia and recovery, without an overnight ward. For procedures that do not require inpatient monitoring, this means the same surgical and sterility standards in a smaller setting, and discharge on the day of the operation once recovery criteria are met.

Consultation and cost

A consultation with the operating surgeon costs AED 680 and is required before any procedure is planned. Surgical cost depends on the procedure, the extent of the work and the anaesthesia required, and is quoted in writing after that consultation rather than over the phone. Individual results vary. Prices current as of August 2026.
