Cosmetology Clinic in Dubai

Cosmetology at ELEMENTAL Day Surgical Center in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, is doctor-led: procedures are planned and performed by DHA-licensed practitioners within their scope of practice, after an in-person consultation. The department has two branches, and most treatment plans draw on one or both.

Injectional cosmetology covers work done with a needle: anti-wrinkle therapy for dynamic wrinkles, filler contouring for volume and shape, biorevitalization and mesotherapy for skin quality, along with lipolytics and collagen-stimulating treatments. Laser has real contraindications and, for CO2 work, real downtime, so every course starts with a skin assessment.

How a plan is put together

The consultation starts with what bothers you, not with what is available. The examination establishes whether the concern is about volume, skin quality, colour, texture or laxity, because those four are treated by different means and confusing them is the usual reason a treatment disappoints.

Where several treatments are indicated, order matters. Inflammation and skin disease are settled first. Injectables and energy-based treatments are then sequenced with intervals between them rather than stacked in one visit, so that each can be assessed on its own before the next is added. A plan built this way takes longer and is easier to correct.

Fitzpatrick skin type is recorded before any light-based treatment. Higher phototypes are more prone to pigment change after inflammation, so settings are chosen conservatively and courses are spaced rather than intensified.

Downtime, and planning around a date

Downtime differs by treatment. Injectables commonly leave small marks, swelling or bruising that settle over days; CO2 resurfacing involves visible healing over a longer period, and this is explained before booking rather than after. If you have an event, book the consultation well ahead of it — the point is to leave room for the settling period and for a review, not to fit a procedure into the last free evening.

Who performs the treatment, and under what licence

Every practitioner working here holds a current Dubai Health Authority licence at this facility, and each works within the scope of practice that licence defines. Licence numbers are published on the individual pages under specialists and can be checked against the public DHA Sheryan registry.

Cosmetology here sits next to aesthetic dermatology and general dermatology, which matters in practice: when a cosmetic complaint turns out to have a medical cause, the patient is examined and treated by a dermatologist — Dr. Olivera Nikolic or Dr. Muntaser Alawi, both Specialist Dermatologists — rather than sold a procedure that will not fix it.

Being part of a licensed day surgical centre also changes what is available if something goes wrong: this is a facility with an operating theatre, anaesthesia and emergency equipment, not a treatment room in a salon.

What to ask anywhere in Dubai, including here

• Which practitioner will perform the treatment, and what does their DHA licence say?
• Is the facility licensed by the DHA, and for this activity?
• What exactly is being injected or applied, and is the packaging opened in front of you?
• What happens if the result is not what was discussed, and is a review visit included?
• What are the contraindications and the specific risks for you, not in general?

A clinic that answers these plainly is telling you something useful. So is one that does not.

Contraindications and honest limits

Pregnancy and breastfeeding, active skin infection at the treatment site, some autoimmune and bleeding disorders, certain medications, and recent prescription acne medication use all affect what can be done and when. Some patients are advised to wait; some are advised against a treatment entirely. Non-surgical work also has limits — where the concern is significant skin laxity or excess tissue, the honest answer is surgery or nothing, and the consultation will say so.
