ELEMENTAL Day Surgical Center runs a full dental department in Jumeirah 1, on 113 Jumeirah Street, under DHA licence 5323888. Everything a mouth needs is done in one building by one team: examination and prevention, fillings and root canal treatment, gum treatment, extractions and oral surgery, implants, orthodontics, and crowns, bridges and veneers.

What makes that worth saying is not the length of the list. It is that the three things which usually send a patient somewhere else — three-dimensional imaging, magnification, and the laboratory that makes the restoration — are all here. A tooth is diagnosed, planned, treated and restored without a referral, without a courier and without the loss of information that happens at every handover between organisations.

The department is built around day surgery standards, because that is what the rest of this clinic does. Sterilisation, consent, medical history, anaesthesia and escalation follow the same protocols as an operating theatre, not the lighter ones a stand-alone dental office can get away with.

General and preventive care. Examination, diagnosis and a written treatment plan, professional cleaning, fillings, whitening and urgent appointments for pain and swelling. Start at the dental consultation and check-up.

Endodontics. Treatment and re-treatment of infected and inflamed root canal systems under a dental operating microscope — see root canal treatment.

Gum treatment. Measured periodontal assessment, non-surgical therapy and a maintenance interval set from your own risk: teeth cleaning and gum treatment.

Surgery. Removal of teeth and impacted wisdom teeth, minor oral surgery and ridge preparation: tooth extraction and oral surgery, bone grafting and sinus lift.

Implants. Replacement of missing teeth planned in three dimensions: dental implants, same-day implants where the bone allows it, and full-arch rehabilitation on four or six fixtures — All-on-4 and All-on-6.

Orthodontics. Fixed braces and clear aligners, including Invisalign, for adults.

Prosthetics and appearance. Crowns, bridges and dentures, veneers and smile design, whitening — with the restorations made in our own digital dental laboratory on site.

Imaging. CBCT and dental X-ray, and reporting on scans including volumes taken at other clinics.

Cone beam imaging. A Planmeca Viso G5 with fields of view up to 20 x 17 cm, voxel size down to 75 μm in endodontic mode, the Planmeca Ultra Low Dose protocol and Planmeca CALM motion artefact correction, plus panoramic and cephalometric programs on the same unit. It means an implant is planned on the actual bone, a lower wisdom tooth is assessed against the actual nerve canal, and an orthodontic record set is taken in one appointment.

A dental operating microscope. Used for endodontics, for root-end surgery, for the margins of crowns and veneers, for deep periodontal instrumentation and for finding the crack in a tooth that hurts on biting while the radiograph looks clean. Magnification is not a luxury in a working field that is a few millimetres across.

An in-house digital dental laboratory. Scanning, design, milling and finishing happen here, so the technician sees the patient rather than a shipped model, shade is decided in the same building, and an adjustment does not restart a week-long external cycle. Treatment is sequenced, not sold as a package. The first appointment establishes what is present: medical history and medication, examination of teeth, gums, soft tissues and bite, and the imaging the findings actually justify. You leave with a written plan that states what was found, what needs treating now, what can be monitored, in what order and at what cost.

The order is clinical rather than commercial. Pain and infection are dealt with first. Gum inflammation is stabilised next, because moving teeth, placing implants or fitting crowns in an inflamed mouth shortens the life of all three. Structural work — root canals, fillings, crowns — follows. Orthodontics comes before restorations where teeth need repositioning, because moving a tooth first usually means removing less of it later. Appearance is planned last, on a mouth that is already healthy.

Where a tooth is borderline, you are given the comparison rather than a recommendation: what it costs and how long it is likely to last if treated, against what it costs to remove and replace it. That conversation belongs to the patient.

A dental consultation starts from AED 650. It covers the examination, the discussion of findings and the written plan.

Everything else is quoted in writing after the examination, with the stages listed separately. We do not quote treatment over the phone. The same complaint — a tooth that hurts when you bite — can be a filling, or a root canal and a crown, or an extraction and an implant, and the difference between those three is not a rounding error. A figure given before anyone has looked at the tooth is not a figure worth planning around.

When you compare quotations between clinics, compare what is included: records and imaging, temporary restorations, laboratory work, review appointments, retainers after orthodontics. A lower headline number that excludes half of those is not a lower price.

Treatment itself starts from AED 900 — a filling or a simple extraction at the lower end, crowns and veneers from AED 5,500 per tooth, braces from AED 18,000 for a full course. The final cost is confirmed in writing after your examination, before anything is scheduled.
